Core Values and Philosophy

Catholic Charities is a faith based organization that is committed throughout the Diocese of Fort Worth to live out the commission of Jesus Christ by welcoming the stranger, feeding the poor, clothing the naked, and caring for children. Our rich history in Catholic Social Teaching provides the foundation for why we do the work we do. Each individual who walks through our doors in need is met with respect, compassion, and hospitality. It is the duty and responsibility of all staff and volunteers to conduct themselves with integrity, to practice hospitality to all, to maintain a commitment to excellence in services, and to practice good stewardship of all resources that we have been entrusted with. Catholic Charities provides services to all in need and does not discriminate based on creed, race, ethnicity, or culture. Catholic Charities is committed to providing the highest quality of services in order to achieve our vision of being people of faith helping people in need.

Respect

Catholic Charities recognizes the inherent worth and dignity of all individuals and values and respects all agency participants.

Integrity

We operate in accordance with these stated values and set the example in our practices and decision making by conducting ourselves with the utmost integrity.

Compassion

We believe compassion is the cornerstone for all services provided. We strive for compassionate services, staff and volunteers, and agency processes and procedures.

Hospitality

Each day, individuals who walk through our doors enter a hospitable, safe, and caring environment with a sense of being at home.

Excellence

Caring for God's people, we strive for nothing less than excellence in both our internal and external workings and relationships.

Stewardship

We are committed to using the gifts and resources we are entrusted with as they are intended. Since 1910, our agency has proudly used over 90% of our resources on client services.

DONATE

OUR MISSION
